Amara Emmenegger goes to the second kindergarten. She likes to cook and bake with her mother. Her favorite food is sushi. Amara loves animals and sometimes wants to be a white wolf or a snowy owl.

Marcel Emmenegger went to a Swiss business school that included hands-on job training at local high-tech company Metrohm, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-precision instruments for laboratory analysis. After graduation and mandatory army service, Marcel worked in the desert kibbutz Kerem Shalom with the irrigation department, guided sightseeing tours and taught literature in Kenya, and worked in Panama's Free Trade Zone. He then returned to Switzerland and served as private secretary to entrepreneur Klaus J. Jacobs. Out of this context, Marcel started to organize international Corporate Social Responsibility Events for Adecco (human resources provider), Barry Callebaut (chocolate producer) and Infront Sports (sports marketing agency). After Mr. Jacobs passed away, Marcel got hired as Office Manager to former politician and Thai cabinet minister Peerapong Tanompongphandh whom he literally met while getting lost on a bicycle tour in Bangkok's urban oasis, Bang Krachao. Upon his return to his home country, Marcel was working in welfare offices throughout Switzerland and now is employed by the largest psychiatric hospital  for children inpatient treatment in Switzerland as social pedagogue.

Marcel studied Social Work (BA) in Zurich and received further education in Public Governance (CAS) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and studied Continental Philosophy (MA) at St. Kliment Ohridski University, Sofia.

Canadian writer of twenty-seven novels

"I have always followed Marcel's colorful professional career with great interest. He takes great interest in people from whatever background and his advice is anything else than skin deep."

Former CEO/Chairman of Adecco, a Fortune 500 company with 5'200 branches in over 60 countries and territories

"Marcel's acute intelligence and enquiring mind coupled with a varied and unconventional life has made him the insightful and wise thinker he is today. He is a true philomath... and a good friend."

Economic historian and financial expert

"About six months ago, I made the acquaintance of Marcel, editor of a well-respected regional paper in Switzerland and a social worker who had previously studied philosophy in Sofia, Bulgaria. He had also been a heavy drug user and had lived a truly "low life" for a few years but overcame his addiction. I can tell from the letters he writes me that this horrible experience has made him a wonderful and compassionate man who has a social conscience but is not a socialist."
